March Site Update

I just thought I’d keep subscribers and followers up to date with the latest progress on the main site.

Three more match reports in the Germany v England feature section were completed, the 1972 two-legged European Championship quarter-final and the 1978 friendly in München, which I have dubbed “the match that Worm turned”. I have a full week off next week, and while there are some household chores to do I will be finding the time to try and finish this feature. First I will finish off the 1970s by completing the write-up on the Wembley 1975 game, and then I will move onto the 1980s.

Thanks to the folks at rarefooty.com, I now have the World Cup second round match and Wembley friendly from 1982, as well as the 1985 friendly played in Mexico City, a 3-0 defeat that I never got to see the first time around. I am also booking this week to scan in some pages from the my match programme collection, as well as match tickets where I have them – I am going to lay them out on an old Subbuteo pitch as it looks a lot better than the antique wooden coffee table.
