Goodnight, 2012. Sleep Tight.

That’s right, quite a few people fell asleep during this one.

So, a rather dull close to the footballing year with a goalless draw in Amsterdam, an encounter that saw both goalkeepers have a quiet evening – apart from one brilliant save from Manuel Neuer – as both teams played what were effectively B teams.

This game was shown delayed live, so I will follow with the minute-by-minute report tomorrow. For now, we have the scorecard, which is also pretty dull. At least Roman Neustädter got to make his debut.
