The Final Straight

Welcome to what will be the penultimate World Cup video blog, and what a tournament it has been! First we would see a hard-fought quarter-final win over France where Nationaltrainer Jogi Löw would revert back to the familiar and tried and tested 4-2-3-1 – with Philipp Lahm back in defence – and then the scarcely believable 7-1 demolition of hosts Brazil in an unforgettable semi-final.

In this second epic lasting over twenty minutes – again, get yourself a cup of coffee and a packet of biscuits – I talk about both matches – paying plenty of attention on the semi-final in Belo Horizonte – and take a look forward to the final in the Maracanã against Argentina – a repeat of 1986 and 1990.

I am of course wearing the red and black hooped shirt inspired by famous Brazilian club Flemengo – a Nationalrikot that will probably never be forgotten!
